Abdominal Heating

Mother warming can aid healing and give relief to any discomfort and help tone the uterus. It supports improved circulation, helps rid your abdomen of excess gas and liquids and encourages the uterus back down to correct size and position. It can also help the new mother have more energy and feel rejuvenated and is a great way to gently aid recovery from childbirth and restore energy.

• Hot stone abdominal press with heaty herbal belly paste, OR
• Moxibustion treatment involves the gentle warming of the acupuncture meridians that run through the lower abdomen and lower back. It is a very nourishing and strengthening treatment. It involves using a Moxa stick and warming acupuncture points on the abdomen and on the lower back until they feel pleasantly warm, OR
• Vaginal herbal steam (yoni steam)

Ceremonial Bath with Sage Smudge and Flower Crown

Here we ritually wash away the blood from the birth and to make a fresh start on your journey through motherhood.

Bengkung Belly Bind + Session

Bengkung Belly Binding is a traditional postpartum practice in south eastern asia (particularly in Indonesia and Malaysia). It aids in:

• Abdominal wall retraction (diastasis recti)
• Supporting the womb after birth and speeds up the process of contraction
• the recovery and healing from Caesarean birth
• returning to your pre-pregnant shape
• Tightening body parts that may have lost muscle tone during pregnancy
• Improving circulation
• Breaking down fat and cellulite
• Accelerating fat burning
• Relieving water retention
• Supporting the spine and postural realignment
• Supporting the pelvic floor
• Providing back support

The binds are custom made by myself or my mother from 100% cotton hand-printed Indonesian Batik. Each one is unique as the Batiks prints are all originals. The final ritual to celebrate all the work you did in pregnancy to grow your baby. Here we spiritually, physically and emotionally mark the closing of your body and of this phase of your life, so you are ready to move forward on your journey through motherhood.
